The entire Robin Bond Interiors team loved this cake. We shared some over coffee this morning and agree it is the perfect slice of something not-too-sweet to start the day.
I love this cake because on the surface it appears to be an average bundt cake, but once you cut into it a beautiful graphic print is revealed. According to food blogger Tori Avey, marble cakes originated in Germany during the 19th century. I like to put a twist on this classic by adding a little heat with 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to create a spicy chocolate swirl throughout. The spice is subtle and delicious!
We hope you enjoy this gluten-free graphic print cake and don’t miss our “From the Runway: Graphic Prints” post this Friday. We’re featuring a stunning staircase from an event space we designed in Kyle, TX and a graphic print fashion pairing from Austin’s luxury + lifestyle store, By George!
