The set of eight dining chairs used in this space are also designed by Christopher Guy. Fabrics for Christopher Guy dining chairs, along with his other upholstered products, are custom-selected for each project.
I chose a high-end, commercial grade, faux snakeskin fabric called “Snakecharmer” in the color “Beet” designed by Diane Von Furstenberg. This fabric brings an edge to the space and its durability will extend the longevity of these chairs. The backs are covered in an intricate wicker-like fabric from Ralph Lauren. Welt cording in metallic gold seamlessly ties the contrasting fabrics together.
Christopher Guy once said, “Elegance, sophistication and grace have always transcended cultural borders; my objective has been to transfer this into my own distinct decorative furnishing style.” As a world traveler with an international background, Christopher Guys’ designs are refined and classic.
Aside from the quality, another benefit to getting the chairs from the same source is that the wooden frames can be stained in the exact Java Café color as the table.
