Window treatments are crucial in a space. They add comfort by providing privacy when needed and they add ambiance by filtering and controlling light in a space. For this space I chose Hunter Douglas roller shades in Tao Golden Lane, which is a textured golden fabric with a faux-silk appearance. Roller shades provide a clean, contemporary look and are very easy to operate, making them perfect for our ultimate holiday dining space. They also come in an impressive range of quality fabrics and can even be fully customized.

Since I was included in the beginning of the construction process for this dining space, I was able to specify windows with the proper depth. When window treatments are considered early on in the process, proper depth allowances give space for inside mounting of hard window treatment products, like roller shades. Roller shades mounted inside a window frame give the most flush and contemporary look. It also allows for the layering of more elaborate window treatments like the double traversing drapery system that we’re adding to this ultimate holiday dining space next week!
