Breaking Ground: Counters

It seems like granite was all the rage for years; everybody just had to have it. It required a lot of maintenance (sealing, specific care instructions and products, and daily cleaning), but most people just dealt with all the guidelines because granite used to be the only way to get such unique colors and patterns. Nowadays that is not the case; quartz is the new king. Manufacturers like Caesarstone and Cambria are able to create slabs with all of the beauty of natural granite or marble, but make them from one of the hardest minerals on the earth that require very little care.

We used various styles and colors of quartz throughout this home, from the subtle neutral used in the kitchen and master bathroom, to the more bold options chosen for the powder and guest bathrooms.
