Setting the Mood: Hope

When I think of the word hope, a sunrise immediately comes to mind. To trust in, wait for, look for, or desire something or someone, or to expect something beneficial in the future. Through the beautiful shades of lavender and purple, you know the sun is about to break through.

This mood board gives you a little insight as to why I associated a couple of these items with hope, and the rest I have left to your imagination. I threw in some great kitchen gadgets that are both functional and unique. How many lavender kitchens have you seen?

  1. The way the rug seems to fade from gray to lavender and then to white is hope in action. I don’t ever seem to have a constant sense of hope. At times I doubt and that is represented by the gray in this area rug.
  2. The rings in this art are connected and build on the other, much the same way that hope works. If you get a glimpse of something positive happening in connection with what you were hoping for, then it can grow into faith and from there become a reality.
