Mixing the Old & the New: Heirloom Armchair

In this East Coast basement renovation, our client had an heirloom chair and ottoman that had been passed down to her through her family. It had a very special meaning to her, and as a bonus it was also a well-made antique that was definitely worth recovering. Custom upholstery work is labor intensive and fairly expensive but is well worth it to be able to re-purpose a piece of furniture and give it new life.

This chair and ottoman look amazing and creates a cozy reading nook for our client. I just love the way the contemporary geometric Ralph Lauren Home fabric pairs with the curvy antique shape of the frame. Beautiful!
