Making the Old New: Robin’s Breakfast Table & Chairs

I have a breakfast table and chairs that was beginning to look worn out a couple of years ago (and frankly, quite boring too). It did the job just fine when my son was younger, but now he isn’t quite as messy as he used to be (notice I say “quite” because he’s still a boy and still a teenager). I hate to stereotype but my son is the epitome of a messy, busy, quick moving teenage boy. At any rate, I think it had more to do with the fact that I just looked at the table one day and realized something needed to happen with it. The table itself is very sturdy and the chairs are antique, so I decided to put my money where my mouth was when it comes to touting that we are a green design firm and set out on a do-it-yourself adventure (which is very unlike me). Every once in a while I will get a wild hair and want to do something creative like this on my own.

My long-time friend and business associate Kim Neal of FIND told me about these great Amy Howard paint products that are easy to use so I decided to put them to the test.
The result is that I was able to change a worn-out looking, boring table combination into a fresh and funky focal point for my breakfast area. Check out the video below!
