Making the Old New: Settee

This settee has a beautiful silhouette (I am a sucker for claw feet on anything) and is a family heirloom that was passed down to our client. Her lab, however, didn’t understand the value in it, and jumped on it, bending the frame. The piece was definitely in need of quite a bit of TLC, but it was not an impossible feat. We not only got it in tip top shape structurally, but it gave our client the chance to make it even better than it was by giving it a little edge with a gorgeous deep red, reptile textured vinyl and brass nail heads.

We decided on the vinyl since this settee is still a favorite spot for our client’s labs. By recovering in a heavy duty vinyl, it will be more scratch resistant than even a leather and will be a breeze to wipe down with a damp cloth to clean.
