Dine With Design: Christmas

The trends for Christmas this year seem to be very subdued, with a lot of neutral tones. It’s a fresh, clean look that pairs well with the current design trends. I anticipate that in years to come we will start seeing more color again, but you can never go wrong with white and so our Christmas dinner tablescape this year is from a collection we sell called First Snow. It is elegant and beautiful. We don’t get snow in Texas, but we get to pretend a little with this table setting.

  1. In keeping with the classic elegance of this setting, a classic white table cloth perfectly sets the stage.
  2. This modern and unique table runner is made from woven vinyl to look like a silver metallic netting.
  3. Simple dishware helps keep the focus on the centerpiece and decorative elements.
  4. This hammered nickel charger plate helps create a variety of textures.
  5. White linen napkins add an upscale feel to the place settings.
  6. This tall tree from the First Snow collection makes a dramatic centerpiece for the table.
  7. These electronic pillar candle holders can be run down the length of the table on either side of the centerpiece. Adding some pine branches around the bases will help to hide electrical cords.
  8. A set of angels and tree from the First Snow collection ca be arranged with the focal centerpiece tree to create a more asymmetrical appearance.
  9. Small figures, like these adorable little owls, are easy to place in random spots between the larger pieces.
  10. Just like with our Thanksgiving table, adding ornaments into your tablescape is a great way to add a special touch. You can even use some of the extra ornaments from your tree!
