Everyone can always use a new appetizer to roll out around the holidays. This is a good one for a small dinner party, or you can double or even triple the recipe for larger crowds. If you are gluten free, just substitute a gluten free french bread such as Udi’s, or you can even use a more standard loaf of gluten free bread and use a cookie cutter to make rounds, or other festive shapes. If you are highly allergic, then I will say that recipes like this one which use a lot of mayonnaise may have traces of gluten in them, and so just make sure to also use a mayonnaise specifically marked gluten free (or even a substitute like Vegenaise would work well here).
